McCain aides are letting it all out. Campaign insiders told Fox News:
- Sarah Palin didn’t know basic civics, such as municipal, state, and federal government responsibilities.
- She didn’t know the nations involved in NAFTA (i.e. U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico).
- She thought Africa was a country instead of a continent.
- She threw tantrums.
- She was a shopaholic.
Palin Spending Spree More Extensive Than Previously Reported
With the election over, McCain campaign aides are no longer holding back their displeasure with Sarah Palin. Newsweek is reporting that it was Palin who ordered expensive clothes for herself and her family. What’s more, the final bill came out to tens of thousands more than the $150,000 (Republicans Spent $150,000 on Palin Clothing & Makeup) previously reported .

Politico is reporting the Republican National Committee has spent over $150,000 on clothing and make-up for Sarah Palin.
If things weren’t bad enough already, campaign finance experts are warning that such expenditures may actually be illegal. Federal Election Commission guidelines prohibit the use of campaign cash to purchase items for personal use.
Palin Believes Vice President In Charge Of Senate
In an interview with a local NBC affiliate in Colorado, Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin claimed that she would take charge of the U.S. Senate if elected vice president.
Palin mistakenly argued that legislative work was one of the primary responsibilities of the vice president. In fact, the vice president has an extremely limited role and may only cast a vote when the Senate is equally divided.
Inquiry Finds Palin Abused Power
The New York Times is reporting that an investigation by the Alaska State Legislature has concluded that Sarah Palin abused her power when she fired the state’s public safety commissioner Walt Monegan. Legislators agreed that Monegan was fired because he refused to fire Palin’s former brother-in-law Michael Wooten, an Alaska State Trooper.
Alaskan Independence Party Official Confirms Close Ties with Palin in Interview
Salon.com is reporting today that former Alaskan Independence Party Chairman Mark Chryson and right-wing extremist Steve Stoll played a pivotal role in launching Sarah Palin’s political career and in return were given influence over policy decisions. The McCain campaign has confirmed that Sarah Palin’s husband, Todd Palin, was in fact a member of the party but has until now vehemently denied Sarah Palin’s involvement with the group.

More Palin gaffes. Sarah Palin drew a blank when she was asked to name another Supreme Court decision besides Roe v. Wade that she disagreed with. Joe Biden, on the other hand, had no trouble answering the same question. In an interview with Katie Couric today, Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin found herself unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she read regularly before John McCain picked her as his running mate.
Palin was visibly confused and struggled to give a coherent answer. She first claimed she had read “most of them”, then “all of them”, and finally “a variety of sources.” Though repeatedly pressed to be more specific, Palin declined to reveal details about her reading habits or her lack thereof.
McCain Dismisses Palin’s Pakistan Statement
In an appearance on This Week with George Stephanopoulos today, John McCain insisted that Sarah Palin should not be taken by her word when she argued that U.S. troops should “absolutely” cross the border into Pakistan in pursuit of terrorists.
